Fast-Tracker Lands Controller Position
at Brown & Riding
LOS ANGELES,
Calif. (DATE) - W. Cameron Kelly has stepped up to the Controller rung
at Brown & Riding Insurance Services, Inc., the growing wholesale insurance
brokerage headquartered in Los Angeles.
Less than one
year ago, in September of 1999, Kelly signed-on as the Accounting Supervisor
for B&R and, according to Chris Brown, President of Brown & Riding, soon
after he was spearheading a major logistical advance in back office operations.
"Cameron has
orchestrated key improvements in our accounting systems, financial reporting,
record keeping, collections, compliance and more," says Brown. "Quite
simply, his contributions this past year have proved tremendous for our
bottom line."
"We're very fortunate
to have the benefit of Cameron's A-Z experience and professionalism,"
says Brown. "With his personal leadership skills, determination to achieve
goals, and his great sense for innovation, he has truly rounded-out our
management team to the betterment of the entire company."
Kelly's promotion
to Controller of B&R caps a rapid climb through the ranks of the insurance
business. In 1994, he got his start as an accounting clerk with the American
Acceptance Corp, eventually rising to the level of Senior Accounting Clerk.
In 1996, Unifax
Insurance Systems, Inc. lured Kelly away from AAC. In his four years with
UIS, Kelly advanced from a position as a production underwriter to eventual
appointment as Regional Supervisor for UIS.
Brown & Riding,
which states a commitment to serve carrier and broker clients by "delivering
superior insurance products and solutions with the highest degree of integrity
and professional service", will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its
founding in October, 2000.
