Eva Wagner Joins B&R as Prelude to New
Division Launch
LOS ANGELES,
Calif. (DATE) - Eva S. Wagner, a specialist in casualty and energy risks,
with more than 16 years in the business, has signed-on as Associate Broker
with Brown & Riding Insurance Services, the LA-based insurance wholesaler
which celebrated its 20th anniversary in year 2000.
It is anticipated
that Wagner, now serving within B&R’s Financial Services Division, will
play a prominent role in the company’s new Energy Division, expected to
open for business in February 2001. Wagner’s background is uniquely
suited to fulfill this posting.
After her entry
into the industry in 1984, as a data entry clerk for a surplus lines program
administrator, Wagner charted a deliberate and dynamic career course.
In the mid and later 1980s, Wagner transitioned from technical positions
to an underwriter slot in the Ocean Marine Division at the Royal Insurance
Company. In 1992, primarily handling casualty and energy lines, Wagner
took on her first assignment as an underwriter with AIG, where she promptly
surpassed her year-one goals by 180%.
Immediately prior
to her recruitment to B&R, Wagner served as Marketing Executive with International
Facilities Insurance Services where she developed further expertise in
oilfield and energy risks.
It is Wagner’s
cross-credentials in the casualty and energy fields that appealed to that
B&R recruiter with final say, President Chris Brown. “We were laying plans
for the Energy division when we learned that Eva might be available,”
explains Brown. “And even though we were a couple of months out on division
launch, we knew she would be a perfect fit for a leadership role.” He
concludes, “Eva brings to the team an expertise made to order for current
and future business.”
